Bacchelli & Villa is proudly supporter of the Higher Technical Education and Training course of ” Technical Bodywork Restauration of Vintage Cars ” which is about to debut at the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari – University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.

 

PROFILE DESCRIPTION

The professional figure leaving the IFTS course will search for documentary sources of territorial motoring to plan restoration work on bodywork that respects the shapes, designs and colors of the original models. The figure will know the materials used for the construction of cars and, through metallographic analysis, will be able to establish methods for the recovery or reconstruction, even in prototype form of components, reproducing with design techniques and design software the forms and expected performance. It will use machines, tools and equipment that encourage the development of quality and time-saving processes, increasing the degree of satisfaction of the customer and therefore the level of loyalty, thus enhancing the spread of Made in Italy.

 

CONTENTS

Socialisation and career guidance, Communication and Team Working, Security, Business Organisation, Mathematics / Statistics, Technical English.

Historical brands of vintage cars, Materials.

Technical design and design software, Prototyping and materials. Definition of a project for the restoration of a vintage car. 3D capturing techniques, reverse modelling, additive manufacturing. Dismantling and assembly of a vintage car. Digital instrumentation in the restoration process.

The bodywork of a vintage car.

Digital straightening tools.

Painting of vintage cars; Digital tools for drying paints. Marketing for the enhancement of the territory and its products.

Management and customer loyalty.

 

DURATION AND PERIOD OF THE COURSE
800 hours of which 300 hours of internship from November 2019 to October 2020
